GEORGIAN REPUBLIC
In the village of Bediani, south of Tbilisi, the capital city of the Georgian Republic a collaborative project with American Friends of Georgia began in 2001.The Bediani PhotoStory Project provided about 35 former street children with an opportunity for artistic expression that helped restore self-esteem, pride and self-reliance. These at-risk children created images reflecting their lives in a self-supporting rural community established for their care after leaving an orphanage.
