In 2001 the PhotoStory project began at the Daira Inter-College, a rural school of about 400 students grades six through twelve, and with several Women's Self-Help Groups situated north of Delhi, India. In 2002 the program was continued at the Daira Inter-College and two other PhotoStory Projects were conducted in Dehradun, India with 5th grade students from an inner-city school and children with special needs living in a Tibetan refugee community school.
